- Add more !
- Conor O'Neill. On the fun side:
- In-n-Out Burger
- The HP Garage
- Sand Hill Road in a go-cart :-)
- Buck's Diner
- Great America
- Fry's Sunnyvale
- Fry's San Jose
- Fry's Palo Alto
- Computer History Museum
- Ed Byrne - meet the ex-pat tech community and learn from their experiences of being an 'Irishman in Silicon Valley'
- Paul Sweeney - pre-organise some "lauch annoucements and valley partnerships"
- Jan Blanchard - Organize an Irish Party Night and invite silicon entrepeneurs/VCs etc..
- Derek Organ - Make use of any and all contacts already established by the group to organize a show case event (I've none personally I'm afraid). Publisize early so it grabs a bit of attention, it should. This will in particular require a venue. Also try organizing around any existing events in the valley. Have a meeting with the whole group before going over to discuss itinenary and other plans informally, possibly the openbeer night might act as a conversation starter. Some group activities not involving business or technology to lighting things up.
- Shane Mc Allister - If there's enough of us, we could get Enterprise Ireland to sponsor a "function/reception/meet and greet/piss-up" for all Irish ex-pat techies and influencers (Companies with Cash, VCs, Angel Investors). Their offices are right in the middle of Paolo Alto. Perhaps this could revolve around a showcase of each company's/persons products etc.
- Joe Drumgoole
- Meet : Dave Winer, Robert Scoble, Diego Duval, Marc Andressen, Paul Graham, Mike Arrington
- Introductions: Any VC with an interest/appetite for investing in Europe
- Recruit: Marketing people
- General: Use our presence to raise general awareness of whats going on in the Irish Software Industry
- Julian Ellison: Are we colliding deliberately/inadvertantly with any other event that's going on in November? Can we take advantage of this? Plus any 'function' should have really good live music.
- Jonathan Hill: Just found out that Web2Expo Berlin has been announced for 6-8th November. I wonder if this could cause a brain/blogger drain in the valley for our proposed trip in November? Niall Kennedy interested in being involved.
